The Lost Pixel

Yawn! I am up quite early this morning and it is 7:30AM EDT. Just having my morning coffee in RL and getting ready to turn that ugly default desktop in the photo into something pretty. Joe is working and gets off at 1PM his time today and has Friday and Saturday off. I guess we will do something fun tonight since he won’t have to go to sleep early. As for me I will do my usual online job search this morning after I get my desktop looking nice. I might setup a few more things in windows as well this morning as well as install The Sims 3. People say that game sucks but others say it is good so I will give it a try. Anyway I am half asleep and my coffee is getting cold so I better get started. Back with pwetty photos in a bit once I finish setting this up. I guess the default desktop isn’t too bad but I like mine to be a bit custom. Okie back later….

Well that didn’t take very long! Just finished my coffee and it is 8AM EDT and my desktop now looks pretty. That is one thing I like about Linux and Gnome is the ability to easily customize your desktop to your liking. Seems you have to use lots of clumsy tools in Windows to do that. I was just reading in the newspaper that Google is coming out with their own OS based on the Chrome web browser. They are actually using Linux as the base and I think that is a great idea. Everything runs so much better under Linux and the only reason I installed Windows 7 yesterday was the lack of drivers and some games do not work under Linux. I think if more people would start using Linux and with a push from a major player like Google there will be more compatible applications for Linux as well as hardware manufacturers having more Linux driver support. I mean my webcam works just fine in Linux but of course there is no actual Yahoo or MSN for Linux so therefore I have to use my webcam under Windows. Well enough geeky talk and on to my job hunting. Yay! It is 11AM EDT and I have finished most of my daily tasks. So far this morning after fiddling with the computer I decided to apply for a couple jobs. I only do a few a day because entering a ton of information on websites takes a while. One position is for a telecommuter type of customer service position. That one sounds promising and I went through the application online and did my telephone audition so I hope all goes well with that. I have been talking to Joe a bit as well in Yahoo. Kinda sucks that he went to work and they were overstaffed today and he couldn’t work. Guess we will hang out later then. I was just on OSGrid in my Open Simulator region making sure everything was running well. I did a teleport from OSGrid to my grid to verify my regions there were running okay as well. I did another hypergrid teleport back to OSGrid and then started checking out the plazas (LL TeleHub). I noticed the one called LBSA Plaza had a makeover and I think it looks great. I guess that is the new hangout since there were a bunch of people there. Well I am hungry and it is almost lunch so I will go make a couple of egg sandwiches to eat now. After that a shower is in order and then move on with the rest of the day. Okie back later….

….whee. It is 5PM EDT and I just finished cutting my hair and stuff. Been needing to do that for ages but my mom threw away my hair clippers thinking they were old or something. Got new ones today and they worked really well. All showered and relaxing now before dinner. Been talking to Joe off and on and spoke on the phone briefly and he is doing some spring cleaning. Just waiting for dinner and Joe to get sorted and will probably hang out and do something. Raining outside for the second time today too. Anyway I think I will hop on OSGrid for a few and chat with the geeky people….

….Hi there! All smiley and happy and it is 11:00PM EDT. Just hanging out on webcams with my beautiful man. We are watching Avatar on Nicktoons and talking and stuff. Won’t be much longer and we can do this in RL from seperate rooms of our own house. Nah just being silly and told Joe that and he thinks i’m a retard. Can’t wait and it is getting close. Anyway we went on SL for a tiny bit and went shopping with our pal Faith and then logged off. I am in windows now and have no clue how well SL will run. Anyway going to hang out for a bit and watch TV and thinking of making a snack. Back before bed….
