The Lost Pixel

Good Morning! It is 5:15AM MST and I am sorta awake and having my coffee and stuff. It is nice to be able to login to Second Life as I do every morning and sit at home and listen to music as well. In SL I am having a catnip tea on the front porch of the house I cannot afford this week. I think I have 4 days rent left on it since I was supposed to pay last week but had to pay for RL apartment. I also canceled my World of Warcraft account because that was due Friday but I will get that again eventually. My pal Faithy offered to loan me the money for my rent a week ago but I thought I was going to need two weeks but I realized one week will get me from this Friday till next Friday when I get paid. I would hate to lose my house on Second Life. Feels pointless going on SL when you have no home. Anyway Joe is sleeping still and probably will be for a while I would imagine since he has had the whole week off so far. He works Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. His mother is supposed to come pick him up on the weekends but every time she has said that before she never showed up. I really hope she doesn’t screw this up for us because he can take the CATC bus to work on the weekend. That bus is not the normal bus but one that runs on the weekend and is on call. You call a week ahead of time and they pick you up from the house and drop you off at your destination for 5USD. So it would be 10USD for him to go to work and back. I don’t work on the weekend so I can take the regular bus to work and see how this works out with that lady taking me home. If worse comes to worse I can take the bus home as well if I need to. Well in the morning now I usually have my coffee and then smoke and then make my lunch and shower and then head to the bus stop. I get to work an hour early so I have my breakfast and watch the news. Anyway I am going to go smoke and make lunch and then head to work because I have to be at the bus stop in an hour. Back after work….

Hiya! It is 5:20PM MST and I am home from work. Today I got to work early as usual and had my breakfast and while doing so I wrote a menu for next week. I figure we can have Chicken Tacos & Spanish Rice, Pasta & Garlic Bread, Pork Chops & Spinach & Mashed Potato, Frozen Pizza, Fish Fillets & Broccoli & Mac and Cheese, Chili and Reuben Sandwiches. That will be 7 days worth of meals and I will prepare a shopping list with it organized isle by isle so we can shop quickly and catch the bus home Friday. Work was typical except for all the crazies calling at the start of the day. It was a pretty nice day today and actually above freezing. I got a ride home from the lady from work and as you can see in the photo it is our kitchen. I am preparing to cook a pork loin roast and peas and carrots and mac and cheese. That should be tasty but might be hard to cut with a butter knife. Friday we should get a pack of steak knives or something I guess. Joe is here playing on Second Life like he has been all day and I guess thrilled that we have internet. Anyway I gotta go check on dinner now and might login to Second Life myself. Back in a bit….

….yo! It is 9:30PM MST and I am sleepy. Dinner was delicious and after dinner I played a bit on Second Life and then browsed the web. After that Joe and I decided to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. That movie was amusing and I enjoyed it and stuff. Anyway time for the last smoke and to get ready for bed. Hello! It is 7:20AM MST and I am at work and getting ready and stuff. I finally slept more last night and woke up at 5AM and caught the bus like yesterday. It wasn’t as cold today so that was swell. I am sorta pissed off this morning because I paid 475USD rent on Christmas which covers the January rent where we used to live. We only lived there a week in January so as far as I am concerned we used 120USD of that rent plus utilities so we will say 150USD. That leaves 325 of free rent that Joe’s aunt and uncle got. They call last night saying that we owe 250USD in utilities for December and that is bullshit. I talked to my parents and grandmother and he talked to his mother and they all said screw that and not to pay it. That extra 325USD they got for rent they can use to pay for the utilities as far as I am concerend. He gets his phone on their family plan for 50USD a month so I told him to pay them 50USD for the phone in December and give the phone back. I have a prepaid phone he can use for a week and he can get a 30USD prepaid phone card and I will buy him another phone next week like mine with the unlimited voice, text, internet. We need money for groceries this week and he even said for me to go without my cigarettes which is bullshit because I just paid 1100USD + 200USD for groceries to get us into our new place. That is 1300USD and that would have bought a lot of cigarettes. I really thought when we moved that all this shit we used to deal with would be gone but I guess not. Anyway the cable people are coming over today between 10AM-12PM to install internet. We walked down to the cable company last night and got Joe put on the account and stuff and he is off today and tomorrow so he will be there when the cable people come to install. Tonight I can actually put pretty photos on my blog and resume normal operation. At least we can watch movies and TV shows from the internet now. Well I better go put my lunch away and eat breakfast. Back after work as long as there is internet….

Heh! Hello! This photo looks a bit out of place but I did not have internet before and I seem to have it now at home. It is 6:15PM MST and I am home from work and fed and stuff. It was a typical day at work and the bus this morning ran on schedule and all went great. After work some lady that is in the cube next to me asked if I would like a ride home since I live by her. It turns out she lives across the street from me so she said I could get ride from work and to work if I want. I told her a ride home would be cool but I can get to work myself. Today at work I wrote a letter as Joe asked to his aunt and uncle and put all the figures showing we paid the rent for a month and do not live there. With my figures they actually would owe us after I prorated the rent and utilities for this month and put down full utilities for last night 43USD. He will give the letter to them Friday and it is what it is. Anyway after I get home from work the numpty that installed the internet seemed to think it would be attractive to put a cable across the living room to my computer. First thing I said is that shit has to go. He had my computer hardwired to the router which is not needed because I have wireless and it works fine. I unhooked the modem and router and decided to hide that in the corner of the living room so no one will notice. This guy is getting in the attic when it comes time to install the TV in the bedroom and out here and fishing cables down the wall. I am not having fucking cables all over the place. Anyway the internet works fine and it was time to cook dinner so I cooked Joe and I cheeseburgers and put bacon on mine. We also had mac and cheese and beans with our dinner. The dinner was delicious and last time I cooked burgers I got gawked over the whole time at his aunt and uncles and yelled at because I used salt and pepper. I ended up taking two bites of my burger last time and throwing everything out. That same night we found this apartment on Craigslist. Anyway I rinsed the dishes off after dinner and went out for a smoke and was going to come in to wash them but Joe decided it is his civic duty to wash dishes. I am glad because it has been a long day and I am tired. I guess since we have no cable TV yet we can watch movies and shows on the internet. My computer screen is almost as large as most bedroom HDTV’s so it worked fine for watching DVD’s and will work fine for that. Well going to get changed into my jammies and I think we are going to watch a movie on Netflix or something. Back before bed…..

….well it is 9:30PM and I took a photo earlier for this segment but I am too tired to bother plugging the camera into the computer to upload it. After dinner I checked my email which had a ton of stuff in it and did various other things that people do that do not have internet for many days. After that Joe and I watched Driving Miss Daisy which I have not seen in ages on Netflix. In the middle of the movie we had Cocoa Krispies and now it is time for me to go to bed. I figure Joe will be up for a while since he was having internet withdraws and is off of work tomorrow so I shall retire to my quarters and go to sleep. That’s it for today! Goodnight Earth!

Hi. It is 7:20AM Monday and I am at work and sleepy. I woke up at 5AM to catch the 6:34AM bus and that went without any troubles. Our move over the weekend went well and I have lots of photos and stuff once we get internet installed. I am getting off of work today at 2:30PM rather then 4:30PM so I can go to the cable company and fill out paperwork since I will not be there for the installation tomorrow. They are coming to install internet between 10AM-12PM so all should be well after that. Anyway I have to go eat my breakfast now but tomorrow evening I will post some stuff. That’s it for today! Well hello! I have no pretty photos because I have my camera packed away and forgot I can take photos with my phone. Anyway I am singing a catchy tune and Joe keeps telling me to stop. I figured he might want some packing music or something. Well it is 10:30AM and I am up and showered and stuff. I have to wear the same underpants and socks because all my other stuff is packed away currently. I am about to pack up the computer so I figured I would do a quick blog post. Joe is packing clothes and stuff now and I am going to clean up in here and pack some stuff too. I think his uncle is going to give us a ride to move our stuff but they are having their friends come over and are supposed to do something with them today. I am not quite sure if we are moving today or not. Anyway I should start packing and it may be a couple days until I do another blog post. I may get lucky and there may be an open wifi thing there or something. I will upload photos and stuff from my phone to work and blog from there I guess. Well time to move then. That’s it for today! Hewwo Friday! It is 7:30AM MST and I do not really have time this morning for pretty photos. I woke up at 6AM because I couldn’t sleep and was excited about this apartment we are getting today. I talked to my mom for a while and I just got Joeseph up because he wants to take the bus today to and from work. I just called the landlord to get the address of where we are living and stuff so I can schedule a bus to come and pick me up tomorrow and bring me grocery shopping. I just called the bus place and I guess I have to go down there and register and that place is right near the bus stop I get on in the morning anyway. I just checked the Western Union and that is ready for pickup. Anyway I probably won’t have too interesting of a blog because I will not have internet for two weeks but I can still Plurk from my telephone and blog a bit from work. There just will be a lack of photos unless I take photos on my phone and email them to myself and then add them to my blog. Anyway I think Joe’s stepfather is supposed to help us move on Sunday but I am not sure what is going on with that. They are the ones that cancel every time for dinner and I am afraid they will end up canceling that as well and we won’t have a way to get our stuff over there. That is cutting it a bit short but we should be okay. Anyway I have to hurry up and shower now and get ready for work so I can go register for the short bus so I can schedule a pickup at home tomorrow as well as from Wal~Mart two hours later so I can head home with our groceries. ….allo! It is 9:30AM MST and I am at work finally. Joe and I got up early and got ready for work and headed over to the bus place so that we could register for the weekend bus service. I scheduled a pickup from the new apartment at 10AM tomorrow to go grocery shopping and return at noon. After that we caught the bus to work and Joe was there 40 minutes early and we chatted for a bit and then I called my pal in Florida and talked to him for a bit. I walked to work and am here now and the IT guy said I am on the move list for today. I guess I am moving about 10 cubes down so I do not have far to go. Anyway I am probably going to go eat a cheeseburger after I enter yesterdays hours and then go out for a smoke or something. After work I will take the bus and get the apartment sorted. Back after all that….

Well there they are! Joe and I now officially have our own apartment. I yam back home now and it is 6:45PM and stuff and figure I will blog a bit since we won’t have internet for a couple weeks. I can still blog from work I guess so we will see. Anyway work went well today and moved cubicles into the Spanish section which smells like ethnic food but the people are cool. It is stupid hot over there and I guess I don’t need to wear a sweatshirt anymore. I got off at 2:30PM and walked over to the mall and caught the bus to the stop about 4 blocks from the house. After that I went over to the ATM and took all of my money out and then went home because the wallet wouldn’t fold and I had it stuffed in my jacket and the pocket wouldn’t close. I sorted the money and then walked down the street to some place called Money Lenders where you can pickup Western Union. I got the Western Union and then walked on some more to meet Art the Landlord. We walked up to the apartment and signed the lease and stuff and I handed him the money and got the keys and YAY! Anyway I was a bit sore from the walk and tired from the week and wanted some beers. I came home and gave Joe a nice kiss and presented him with his key to the apartment. We were supposed to move tomorrow so I canceled the mini-bus trip to the store and redid it for Sunday. After that I wanted some beer so I went to the bar even though Joe got a bit mad and had a pitcher of beer and then my tense back finally stopped hurting. About 3/4 through the pitcher he said his aunt and uncle are out at bingo and also that Penut will have a good home and stuff so all is good with that. I got a 12 pack of beer for me and a 6 pack of beer for him that cost more then my 12 pack and wandered down the alley home. I guess his stepdad isn’t going to help us move tomorrow and he says Sunday so we have time to do laundry and stuff tomorrow. I really think the guy will cancel Sunday as well so maybe Joe’s uncle will help us move or something. Anyway I am beat from being anxious all week. I am happy as shit for having our keys in our pockets for our own place. And I am half drunk so I am going to stop blogging. Plus it seems there is a cat on my lap that keeps purring and watching me type so I will listen to some music now and get drunk and stuff since I feel great. That’s it for today! Goodnight Universe!

Yo. It is 9:41PM and I have been wanting to post this cool photo of the lunchroom for a while. Anyway I didn’t wanna post again but since the last post lets see. I went to the store and got 4 gatorades and a bag of pork rinds. After getting back I was enjoying pork rinds with the dogs and one of them knocked it down and 3/4 of the bag went on the floor and the feeding frenzy began. Hmmm after that I went to take all the dogs out but Penut and smoke and Joe’s mom came over so I yelled over the fence the dogs are outside so she brought over some boxes. Oh I talked on a geeky group on Second Life and then talked to some weird woman. She used to come to the bar when Joe and I were trying to be alone and I never banned her but I dunno about her. Anyway everytime I burp it tastes like bacon and I am listening to music and happy and having fun. A lot of times Joe and I do our own thing (Penut is being a real pain in the ass and keeps trying to get my attention). He is on SL and I am and that is fine. That is what people meeting on SL and understanding each other is all about. Anyway I just wanted to show you the beautiful view from my lunchroom I see every day. Maybe someday I will actually be able to sit outside and have lunch but not since I have worked there have I been able to. Night.
