The Lost Pixel

Well it is Thursday, December 31st 2009 and I should have probably whipped up a best of 2009 blog post. Too late now because I still am not feeling that swell and I do have to go to work soon. Anyway it is 8AM MST and I woke up freezing as usual. After going out for a smoke and getting my coffee I logged onto Second Life and was teleported to my pal Faith Hilra’s putt putt skybox. I do not understand why she has beautiful land and goes to that lame skybox. Well I figured out why it is so cold in the bedroom and it seems Joe closed the vents for the heat. After opening those it seems to be heating up in here now. Maybe tomorrow I won’t be freezing and poor Penut won’t have ice cold dog ears. Well I slept pretty well last night and only think I woke up once. I woke up with the usual sore throat because of the cold in here but after my coffee it seems to have mostly gone away. I have been browsing internet sites trying to price what our bus and airline tickets will be for our trip to Florida in March. It seems it is 100USD per person for our round trip bus ticket from Casper, WY to Denver, CO where the airport is. That is about 7 hours away and I figure we will go to work on the Friday before the trip and then take the bus at midnight and arrive around 7AM. There is a free shuttle that goes from the bus station to the airport. I will try to get a flight out around noon and then most flights have one stop. I am thinking of choosing American Airlines over Southwest because American stops in Dallas and Southwest usually stops in Chicago. Why go north when you are going south I figure. The airline round trip will be ~300USD each so the total cost should be 800USD for our travel round trip. I only have two paychecks I can spend on this plus the third full paycheck for the trip. I may have to dip into the income tax funds or something as well. Anyway Joe’s alarm is going off and he is just laying there as usual. I bet he sets it for every half an hour now and it keeps going off. Anyway I must go make my lunch now and my breakfast and then it will be time to shower and do what I do every day. Back later….

Well hello there! It is 7:30PM MST and I am home from work. Actually I rode to work with Joe today and he started at 10AM and I walked from the mall to work and started firing all my systems up and stuff. When I pulled up the scheduling program to check when my breaks were it said I was supposed to be there at 8:30AM! That kinda freaked me out so I loaded my shit up and logged in the phone at 10:05AM. Anyway later in the day I had to talk to the operations manager about my schedule because it has not changed in months and there are people with less seniority getting off work earlier then I. He said there is a problem with my schedule and they will look into it Monday. He also was nice enough to code me in as E-Time which means it was unpaid but a scheduled absence so I will not get a half a day off on my record. I guess the call center closes at 6PM today even though some of us have to work tomorrow which sucks. I got off work at 5PM just like Joe and we went to cash his paycheck and then got dropped off at the Chinese Buffet. That place was packed and delicious as always and we walked home after that. I guess his aunt and uncle are at some 12 hour bingo thing that lasts until 2AM. While Joe was busy clogging up the toilet taking a shit I picked up all the bullshit on the floor in the living room and vacuumed there and our room. After that I moved the new microwave they gave us for Christmas into our bedroom and put it on top of our mini fridge. Also I moved my instant coffee and some sugar and my half and half and oatmeal in here. I put some dish detergent in the bathroom and have a bowl and a spoon and a coffee cup in here so I don’t need to go to the kitchen in the morning except to make a sandwich. Actually I just went and got a plate and my sandwich stuff and put it in here so now I don’t even have to go to make a sandwich. I get tired of going in the kitchen and having to go around filth to make my coffee and a sandwich. At least I can control how clean it is in here. Also I won’t have to dirty dishes so I can’t get bitched at because of it. Anyway I am finally in my jammies and put all my stuff away including the 40USD Joe gave me and stuff. That was swell of him. The dogs are all out there sleeping and Penut is in here because I have the lights out and that seems to calm them down. Joe is on Second Life laughing at something and as you see I logged into World of Warcraft to take a photo of my avatar on there. I got new robes and different things that are more armor and stuff. I guess this evening I will sit around and drink lemonade iced tea because we both have to work tomorrow. Joe has off Saturday and said he doesn’t give a shit if I drink so I might walk to the bar after work and pickup an 18 pack of beer or something. I’m not sure if his aunt and uncle are going to bingo though so if they are who knows. I will figure that out then. Well I would like to enjoy my evening now and maybe go on Second Life and pack up the Christmas stuff or play World of Warcraft and then head to sleep. Back before bed….

Well it is 9PM and I am at some place called Isla Menorca chilling out by the water and stuff. I uninstalled all of my Second Life clients because I was trying to get voice to work to test the new headset Joe got me for Christmas. I decided to try Emerald Viewer again and it is working just fine except the voice isn’t working. Not quite sure what the issue is and I will try to figure it out some other time. Anyway Joe is still goofing around on SL as well and I just installed the latest Nvidia drivers. For some reason Emerald crashes a lot with an OpenGL error with the drivers I had. Coolviewer seems much faster then Emerald and crashes less under Windows 7. I will try Emerald I guess with the latest drivers and see how that works. Anyway I doubt I will be up at midnight and will probably be wrapping things up soon on the computer because this chair makes my back hurt. I think I might watch TV for a few hours after I explore a bit more and then head to sleep. Night 2009. That’s it for this year! Goodnight Earth!

Good Morning! Wow I brought up the thing to do my morning blog post but forgot to blog. Anyway it is Thursday and 8:30AM MST and I have one hour to shower and then I have to walk to the bus stop. It is rather warm out today and 37F/3C out and the wind has stopped so that means it is going to rain or snow. It says on the weather it is snowing but I looked out the window and there is no snow. I figure it will drizzle rain today. It is funny here when it drizzles people are afraid to go in the rain and I laugh at that. In Florida it rains buckets at a time and I certainly wouldn’t go in that but give me a break with drizzle. Anyway Joe just left for work and was up the usual 5 minutes before it is time to go and stuff. He was mad at me because I was bitching about him taking a shower and wouldn’t give me a kiss goodbye at first. Anyway I hopped on Second Life this morning and talked to my pal Faithy for a few minutes before she went AFK for a long time so I logged off. After that I made my lunch and made a fried egg sandwich for breakfast. It seems the snow is melting a bit more which is good outside and it should be an okay day. Anyway I gotta bag up some potato chips for my lunch and take a shower now. After that I will chill out for a bit before I have to head for the bus. Back after work….

….yaaaaaaaaaaaay! It is 8:23PM and I am home from work. Today at work went well and it wasn’t as many of those Maxperks calls so I was happy. I got stuck on a call before lunch and ended up having to go to lunch 45 minutes late which sucked but was okay at the same time. At least tomorrow is Friday. Anyway I came home from work and seen I got some mail and one of which was a Christmas card from my grandmother. I opened it up and was glad to get one and there was some money inside which was swell. I hung up the card with the others around our mirror and Joe and I decided to go to dinner at Dragon Wall which is the Chinese buffet we go to all the time. I never get bored of Chinese. That was delicious as always although the jalapeno chicken was a bit more hot then usual. We just got home and I was going to watch a movie that I downloaded but it appears to be a fake. I kinda figured it would be anyway. I seem to also have received my health insurance card from work although I am not quite sure why it says BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois since I live in Wyoming. Well at least I have that when it goes in effect in two weeks. Anyway I am sorta tired so I am going to get in my pajamas and pour a soda and lay down and watch some television. I didn’t sleep that well last night because Penut decided to come on the bed which he has been good at not doing. Well not going to do much of interest then so off to watch TV and then sleep and stuff. That’s it for today! Goodnight Universe!

Hiya! It is 7:30AM MST and I am up early because I have to fucking go to work. Thanksgiving is a day for friends and family and eating turkey and stuff. Any company that makes their employees work on Thanksgiving or Christmas isn’t worth a shit. I am pissed off that I have to work 10:30AM-7PM today. It is my first Thanksgiving here with Joe and I am going to miss it. The only two high points is they are going to have turkey dinner for us at work and I get paid double for today. The stores are closed and the warehouses are closed and the corporate office is closed…why make us work. Just to have a stupid fucking Black Friday sale start at 9AM EST today on the internet. Who is going to look at that shit anyway. People are going to be with their family enjoying their day off not ordering fucking cases of paper and copier toner. I bet it is going to be very busy because there are so many people with no life that have to do this Black Friday thing where you are not getting a deal you are just buying shitty products at a cheap price. Anyway I woke up and popped on Second Life and my pal Faith Hilra was on there. She came over and checked out my new house and stuff. I just put the couches and stuff in there and made sure my Christmas tree fit. The main reason for the new house is to put Christmas stuff up and the alpha texture windows in the other one made stuff look like crap. The windows in this house can be open or closed so if I leave them closed everything looks fine. Joe is off today and sleeping and I think he went to bed at 4:30AM. He gave me 5 bucks when I was buying lindens last night and I gave him 1500 lindens so I think he was buying and messing with some rezzer thing for his shop. Penut is being lazy this morning too and wouldn’t even come out for his morning cigarette. He is rolled in a ball next to Joe. Joe’s aunt and uncle are up and getting stuff ready for dinner and I will get a ride to work around 9:45AM. Well I don’t have to make my lunch today but I should go and cook some oatmeal for breakfast and shower and stuff. After that I will mess around on SL until it is time for work. …hello there! It is 1PM and kinda slow at work so I figured I would update and stuff. So far it has been 5-10 minutes between calls and the calls pretty routine but different. I just got off break and am eating a turkey leg now with some stuffing and a roll. There was other stuff like mashed potatos and gravy and cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. I just want to nibble while I sit here. I managed to get my Christmas tree setup and it looks swell. I need to maybe get some more stuff for it but it has enough for now. I took a photo when no one was looking because you are not supposed to take photos in here. Glad no one noticed the flash because I forgot to turn it off. Anyway I have lunch at 3:30PM so I am going to hang out for 2 1/2 hours and stuff and then maybe have some pie for lunch if there is any left. Back after work….

Whee! I am home from work and it is 7:50PM and I finally got to have some turkey dinner and stuff. I am full and relaxing now. It got really busy at work the past hour and there were 20 calls in queue and a 10-15 minute wait time. I am glad I left and let the night shift deal with that shit. Tomorrow should be crazy at work but at least it is Friday and I can go to the bar after work. Not sure if I will go get beer or stay there for drinks because if it is windy like tonight I really wanna just go there and come back so I might go on SL and have cold beers and listen to music. Well as you can see there is my new Christmas tree in my cube at work and I am happy with it. I might get some more ornaments or something for it and some other stuff to decorate my desk. Well I think I am going to hop on Second Life now and then maybe have a piece of pie in a little while when I am not so full. Back before bed…..

Well it is 9PM and I am sitting on the front porch in SL and Penut is playing with his rope in RL. I popped into Joe’s bed shop and took at look at what he was doing there and looked at his new rezzing vendor thing that shows his beds. I still have not had pie but I think the soda I had earlier gave me heartburn so I had some tums instead. I managed to put a rocking chair and box and a beer and ashtray outside on the front porch in SL. That is about all I am going to do tonight because I am rather tired after work and do not really feel like sitting here at the computer. Maybe if I had a better desk and a comfy chair that would be okay. I will get one in the upcoming months. I think I will lay down and watch some TV now and go to bed around 11 or midnight. Good morning folks! It is 8:15AM MST and I almost slept until 8AM when my alarm goes off today. I have been sleeping a bit better since Penut isn’t jumping on the bed and stuff now. I have made my RL coffee and hopped on Second Life and am having a dance at my pal Faithys. She has a skybox somewhere as well as her other land and as you can see it looks like a putting green. Anyway Joe is still sleeping but has to be at work at 10AM. I will ride to work with Joe today rather then take the bus. It is rather warm out and only 24F/-4C. It is supposed to go up to 49F today. I am glad it has not snowed this week but looks like it might snow this weekend. Anyway I have two more days of work and then the weekend! I think I will play World of Warcraft this weekend since last weekend I wasn’t in the mood. I must now go make my lunch and eat breakfast and shower and stuff. Not sure when Joe is getting up to take his shower but I know he likes doing everything last minute so it will probably be 9AM or something. Okie back after work….

Phew! One more day left! It is 8:30PM MST and I am in my jammies and finally relaxing. Work went okay today but started a bit shitty. The first call was some lady that did not understand the prorating of a coupon when half of the order was returned. After I figured out the prorated amount and stuff it all added up but she wanted to bitch still and asked for a supervisor. The second call was an indian guy I couldn’t understand so that took ages to take an order for him. The third call was some arab guy that started out the call with “I don’t know what kinda bitches you have working there and the bitch supervisors….” and stuff. I guess he doesn’t like women or something and it was his fourth call today. He ended up getting hung up on because I pressed the wrong button after listening to him for 30 minutes. Anyway the day went okay after that. They had turkey sub sandwiches for us at work with chips and lemonade and iced tea and soda and cookies for lunch. After work I came home and Joe was messing around on SL and there was some hamburger left so I made hamburger patties and fried them in a pan and made some fast food style fries in the oven. We had that for dinner and it was nummy and I am now on Second Life. I am doing some fishing at my house and am too lazy to do much else. This weekend I will probably get the whole house setup since I will be rested and not tired from work. Anyway going to mess around on SL for a bit and then probably find something to watch on Netflix or Hulu. I kinda like those now with this large monitor. That’s it for today! Goodnight Earth!

Hiya! It is 8:30PM MST and I am starting today’s post over. I don’t like having posts without photos and I was having trouble uploading screenshots. I finally figured out that my webserver was set to only allow 2MB uploads and my new monitor has higher resolution and made the photos over 2MB. I changed some settings and all works fine now. Today has been pretty laid back and relaxing. I woke up around 10AM and was sorta hungover from last nights beerfest but I had fun last night going to the bar and then having beers at home and listening to music. Joe called into work today so he was on my computer most of the morning and afternoon playing on Second Life while I watched Food Network. I had to run to the store around noon to get 50.00 to give his aunt and uncle for food. Getting the monitor and network card really killed me this paycheck and it was one day short because of my schedule change. I really didn’t expect to have to pay for food today and I owe my mother 100 dollars and really wanted to send that. I only spent like 36 dollars at the bar last night and chose to do that rather then go out to eat. I should be able to pay her I hope sometime in the near future because all I have is 83 dollars to buy lunch stuff and food for the next two weeks left in my account. Money certainly goes quick when you are out on your own. I did need my computer badly though. Anyway most of the day I watched TV and had to wait for 9.6GB of World of Warcraft files to copy over from Joe’s computer and I finally got that working. It looks great on my new monitor and I am happy. I had some sort of baked potato for dinner with a mushroom and red pepper and green bean sauce that was alright. For the past two hours I have been watching a movie called Chop Shop on Netflix because my mom has an account and you can watch movies online. That looked okay on my monitor and the movie was alright. Anyway I am craving a soda but do not really feel like getting dressed to walk to the store. I was looking at the land across the river from my pal Faith Hilra which you can see in the screenshot. I think I might get that land so I have a place to live in Second Life. It is only 15USD a month anyway. Well going to go on SL for a bit. Back before bed….

Well it is 10PM and I just got off of Second Life after renting that parcel I mentioned earlier. There was an ocean view and a riverfront so I chose the one on the river. I put up my house and started placing a dock when my pal Faith Hilra logged in. I didn’t expect to see her this late at night but she came over and we chatted for a while. Joe actually spoke to her on the phone yesterday when we were at the bar and stuff. I guess things are looking up with the teaching jobs in Las Vegas. Anyway I am kinda hungry now and considering having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some orange juice. After that I may watch another movie because I am not feeling like sitting up at the computer. I just noticed my monitor has a dead pixel but I really do not notice it. I really should take the monitor back considering I paid a lot of money for it. I don’t feel like boxing it up again and going through that hassle though.
