The Lost Pixel

Happy morning too you! It is 9:45AM EDT on Tuesday and I have been up for 45 minutes or so having my RL coffee. I have also been listening to some tunes and playing string on Second Life a bit. Really surprised I am up so early because I was chatting with Joe on the telephone until nearly 2AM last night. I think my afternoon nap yesterday helped out. Well I got up this morning and it is sorta rainy outside but I am sure that will pass before long and then it will be steamy and hot. I guess this morning I will put my laundry away from yesterday and then shower and begin my job search. That sales job I am kinda shying away from and should really call them and tell them forget it. It is a bit pointless to have a job like that when you do not have a car. Was offered an interview with IBM/Lenovo and contacted by a Technical Resource Manager but after looking up the Tampa location it is a 40 minute drive from my house. I keep getting offers for decent jobs but cannot take them because I have to rely on my mother to drive me there. This really sucks. Anyway I will keep searching and see what I can find. Joe is working until 3PM my time so I will attempt to get all my stuff finished before he gets home. Anyway back later….

Hiya! Still raining outside and it is 12:00PM EDT and stuff. I guess it is going to rain off and on all day. Joe is on his break and it was swell to chat a bit on Yahoo Messenger. Made me smiley. Well to recap my morning I started out perusing my employment websites and didn’t see very many jobs local to me. When I say local I mean a 15-20 minute drive. I get sick of the weather websites so I installed some software called McIdas as you see in the photo. Can do all sorta cool shit with that including 3D radars and things like that so you can see how high the cloud tops are and stuff. There are a ton of things in that software and I just played with it for about 45 minutes or so. Anyway I am about to have lunch now…think some sort of fish with veggies. Back later this afternoon….

w00t! Seems to be around 3PM EDT now and I am all showered and shiny. My lunch was delicious but I am still hungry and cannot wait for dinner. I was hoping to have hamburgers because I wanted to put peanut butter on mine and see how that tastes. Talked with Joe a bit more on his break and just awaiting him to get home and stuff. I just finished taking my TV tuner card out of my Linux server and putting it in my Linux desktop machine where it belongs. As you see it seems to be working fine and I am watching a cooking show now. I may see if I can get the cam working in a MSN Messenger clone called aMSN. Oh I managed to recompile my Open Simulator regions on both OSGrid as well as my grid to the latest version. I really need to start building on there again sometime. Anyway back to my cooking show and goofing around and back after dinner I guess…..

Hi. Seems it would be 6:30PM EDT now and I am stuffed. Had pork chops for dinner with a balsamic vinegar sauce I made with raisins, baked sweet potatos, broccoli and a swell salad. After that Joe is home from work and has been piddling around on SL while I was cooking and I decided to join him. After arrival he was shopping on XStreetSL and we said our hellos. Our pal Faith Hilra was on and invited us over so we headed down and as usual she TP’s people and then five minutes later says she has to leave. Joe is messing with gestures now or something and ignoring me so I figured I would update and stuff. Not sure what we are doing tonight, he claimed he was so bored and couldn’t wait for me to come on and has not really been responsive since I have come on. I might just lay down and watch TV. Dunno I will sit here and listen to tunes and let him mess around a bit and then see what he would like to do. More adventure later….

Shortly after Faith left Joe and I headed over to the IBM sandbox so he could sort his inventory. I piddled around browsing websites and looking at the odd items he rezzed to see what they were and stuff for about 45 minutes or so until Faith returned. She invited us back over to her house and we ended up deciding to go in the water. Well I didn’t go in the water because my ass was too lazy to change into swim attire so I sat on the pier with my 7 Seas Fishing rod and fished. I set out some tubes and float balls for Faith because she said she was in the water the previous night and I though she would like something there to float on. After Faith left again Joe and I were going to watch a movie but it ended up being a fake so maybe we will try that one next week.

Since the movie was a no go Joe and I decided to do a little exploring. I pulled up the B-Places website which always has some good suggestions for places to visit and we decided upon the Car Wash region. I have never been there before and we teleported in and it was quite pleasing to the eye. I am not quite sure where it is supposed to be but by the landmarks I was thinking maybe Los Angeles. We wandered around there for a while and chatted on voice so we could explore without typing and it was rather amusing. I thought the build was quite good and the shops had interesting items inside. I think Joe seen a bunch of stuff he wants to go back and get sometime and we still didn’t explore the whole thing. I am not sure if it is just two sims or more but I guess we can find out another time. It is 12:30AM EDT and I am rather sleepy so Joe and I said our goodbyes for the day until tomorrow. He has off work and I have to get up early because I seen a local customer service offering in the newspaper. They are looking to hire 800 employees by the end of the summer. Anyway I will get up early and apply for that and stuff. Well time for me to go to sleep. Goodnight World.

Yay! It’s Friday and 10:30AM EDT and I just finished having coffee on Second Life with my pal Faith Hilra. I woke up around 10AM which was a decent time for being up late last night. I had fun playing tunes last night and I hope Joe got enough sleep because he had to get up at 3AM. Well it is raining out in RL today which was a surprise and a day to just hang out in PJ’s I guess. I am going to go over the e-mails I received from human resources for that position I attended the conference call from yesterday. I got my agent ID and logins for the website and stuff as well as being assigned an agent director. I need to go over all that stuff now and probably do some laundry. Okie it is time for me to get my day started. Until later….

….whee. Seems it is 3:30PM EDT and I just made a pressed cuban sandwich for lunch with honey butter on it and a swell sauce. I have been messing around with my asterisk phone system this afternoon trying to get that setup. Once I get the voice portion setup I will setup the fax portion. I guess Joe is either still working or sleeping or something. Hope we can hang out tonight and stuff. I think he has tomorrow off. Anyway I will get back to my setup stuff. More later….

…meh! I am sick of all this Michael Jackson shit on the television. Got up and made my bed and am going to shave and shower now. 4PM EDT now and I think I will head over my RL pals since he is sitting on the back porch drinking cold beers and listening to music. Back later….

..hehe yay and stuff. I yam back and it’s 9:30PM EDT. Hungry and drinking a beer. Fed my fish and talked to Joe on the phone but it is going to die so I will make something to eat and login to SL for a few. He is watching a movie so doubt he will be around. Will call him before bed and stuff and go to bed myself…maybe back before bed…..


YAY! Logged into Second Life and was quite surprised to see my sweetie there in the living room. That was a treat and I gave him snuggly hugs and kissies and we had a cuddle on the couch and stuff for a while. Joe was watching movies and stuff and we talked on the voice chat and wasn’t a bad evening. I was half drunk and talking about geeky stuff which turned into business management philosophies on one of my Second Life groups. Oh around 11:30PM EDT or so I went out back and seen Gary the Cat and we played middle of the night string together for a few minutes. After that Joe and I had a cuddle on the bed with nose horns and talked some more but I was getting kinda tired of sitting at the PC. I logged off and got ready for bed and then called Joe up on the phone to chat until about 2:00AM. Was a rather good evening. Goodnight World!

Good Morning! It’s 11:30AM EDT on Thursday and I have been up having my morning coffee for about an hour. The second I woke up I noticed some IMs on Yahoo from my pal Faith and I guess she didn’t have music during her morning coffee. I logged onto the WinXP virtual machine and noticed it rebooted and I have not setup the broadcast software to load at startup yet so that was the issue. I fixed that and have been checking out the Open Simulator conversation on IRC to see if the asset server issues have been resolved. I am still getting high packet loss to the asset server in San Diego, CA as are many others. I recompiled my region to the latest development snapshot and was just online checking that out. After that my pal Faith called on the telephone and we talked for a few which was swell. I guess Joe is being sleepy and deserves it because today is his day off as well. I am going to have taco bell for lunch and have not had that in probably eight months or so. I think I will finish laundry today and wait for Joe to wake up and stuff. Well more thrilling stuff later….

Hiya! It’s 2:00PM EDT and I am just sitting here on the dock overlooking the water here at Faith’s house. We are chatting in IM a bit on Yahoo and I am taking a little break. I had Taco Bell for lunch as I mentioned and it was yummy. I got the mail earlier and opened up something I thought was junk but it was a class action lawsuit for a former employer. Well in 1997 I worked for Wal-Mart in the receiving department. I guess anyone working there from 1997-2009 is eligible for some of this loot. There were two directions to go with that. One way is I could get a one time $50 dollar check (They will take out taxes+social security+medicare) or I could fill out even more crap and maybe get more. I didn’t work there that long so I will just go for the 50.00USD. Anyway filled that out and will mail it out tomorrow. I take it Joe is either still sleeping or fiddling around his hoose. I have not IM’ed yet. I think I will have a cup of coffee now and download some stuff for the jukebox. I am trying to get that back to normal with the amount of tunes I used to have on it. WooHoo! Well it’s 7:30PM EDT and it has been quite a full afternoon. Joe finally got up and stuff and he was doing laundry like I was so we have been piddling around with that in our RL’s. Between laundry we decided to load up MSN and chat on webcams a bit which was fantastic as well. I finally logged into SL and expanded the lawn on the top of our house and have been shopping for freebies on XstreetSL. Joe logged in and we said our hallos and went for a little ride in our cheeseburger car because we had more room. I found a cool waterfall type of thing for free on XstreetSL so I put that up there as well. Just listening to tunes and we are both goofing around looking at freebies on there now. Dunno the plans for the night yet but I guess wait for Joe to finish laundry would be one. Well back later….

Whee! It is 12:30AM EDT and I think I should figure up today’s adventure. After my last post Joe decided to install Windows 7 so logged off and we kept up with the details on Yahoo Mobile. I decided to get more cool stuff and found some sculptie mushrooms for our little mystery forest above our house. Found some other cool things as well and have them in my inventory and will sort those tomorrow. After Joe finished goofing around with his computer he came back and we decided to watch He’s Just Not That Into You. We got all snuggly in the house and turned off the lights and got in our jammies as usual. We both enjoyed the movie and it kept my attention so I would recommend it. After the movie it was time for Joe and I to head off to sleep so we said our goodbyes for the day and stuff. Joe has to work tomorrow and I have to mow the lawn and do my house cleaning.
