The Lost Pixel

Hello! I cannot believe it is Wednesday already! It is 11:00AM EDT and I am having my RL coffee and sitting above the house in Second Life having a catnip tea. Joe is working this morning and the same hours as yesterday so I will talk to him later. I am just listening to tunes now and talking in groups and stuff. I need to start writing lists of stuff I need to bring with me when I go to Joe’s. I think I will do that today as well as maybe get some new music. I have not done that for a couple weeks. I went to bed fairly early last night and woke up around 10:30AM so I got plenty of sleep and feel alright today. I think I will try to play around with the GIT update crap with the source code for Open Simulator today. They are switching from SVN (subversion) to GIT. I already pulled the source the other day and compiled the latest version but I have to figure out how to update it. Well I am going to finish my coffee before it is cold. More excitement later….

….well hello again! It’s 3:00PM EDT and I am drinking a cherry 7-UP. Shortly after my last post Joe called from work and said it was rather slow. I guess Wednesday’s are like that there. We chatted for about thirty minutes on the phone and then he had to get back to work. After that I browsed some websites and finally had a lay down and watched some television. I just got back from the grocery store and purchased cube steaks and some marinade and sweet potatoes and some fresh hamburger buns. I am going to grill the cube steaks for steak burgers which actually come out fairly tender. With the sweet potatoes I am going to use the potato slicer and chop those and make sweet potato french fries. It should be swell. Anyway I am going to cook in about an hour since Joe wanted to chat on webcams tonight and stuff. Well back later….

….mmm dinner was delicious. I had what I mentioned earlier and everything came out swell. After dinner Joe called and we talked for about thirty minutes or so and then his phone cut off. After I called back he said he was sleepy so I will let him nap and stuff. I guess I will lay down and watch some television and try to call him in about 4 hours before bed and say nini if he wakes up. I have a feeling he will sleep until morning. Anyway back later….

Bonsoir! Er good evening! It is 9:30PM EDT and I have just finished watching Second Skin. I started watching that movie earlier before going to the grocery store but only watched 15 minutes of it. I figured since Joe is napping I would check it out. It is a documentary about MMORPG’s (Virtual Worlds Like Second Life) and how they effect peoples lives. It talks about addiction and love and other stuff that happens with virtual worlds. It is worth watching. You can watch the full length film by CLICKING HERE. Anyway that amused me and I am going to go cook some of that powdered Kraft Mac & Cheese that is oh so lovely now. By then it should be 10PM or so or 8PM Joe’s time and I will try to wake his sleepy ass up. Dunno if he will wake up or not but it’s worth a try. Anyway going to cook now….

…..YAY! 11PM and mah sweetie pie called me about an hour ago and we have been hanging out on the phone. I have been chatting on IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and he has been chatting with his sister. I kinda want to lay down so I am going to get ready for bed now and continue the conversation. Swell day and stuff. Goodnight World!

It is the weekend once again and I am finally up and stuff at 2:00PM EDT. Well I slept until about 1:30PM or so because I was up until 2AM hanging out with Joe. I am having my coffee right now and working on updating my Open Simulator regions to the latest version. OSGrid updated their UGAIM so I was able to connect my region again which is great. For some reason HyperGrid teleport to one of the plazas wasn’t working but I could teleport from my grid to my OSGrid region so I am recompiling my UGAIM now and see if that fixes it. I am not sure if Joe is awake yet but he has today and tomorrow off. I left him some text messages but won’t bother him until later. Anyway I am sorta hungry so I am going to try to look for something to eat and mess around with this Open Simulator stuff for a while. Back later….

….hiya! 5:00PM EDT now and I just had tubesteak for dinner. Rather full since I had a sandwich for lunch about an hour before dinner. I spoke with Joe on the phone shortly after having my coffee but ended up hanging up to make my sandwich. I then decided to do a complete new checkout of the Open Simulator source for the grid server as well as my regions on my grid. That is good to do once in a while to get new .ini file changes and stuff. I told Joe while I do that I can’t really talk on the phone because I have to concentrate on stuff. Anyway that is complete now and I still cannot hypergrid teleport to OSGrid and I am unsure why. I will give up on that for a while and get a movie for Joe and I to watch tonight and then watch some TV and give my sweetie a call on the phone. More to come….

….smiles. It is 12:30AM EDT and Joe and I have had a fine Satruday. I got many computer things setup before I went lazy. Heh I was full of energy when I got up and stuff but after messing with the computer I mainly did a lot of talking on the phone with Joe and watching TV. This evening we decided to watch The Watchmen which was a rather good movie. I really would have to watch it again to totally get what is going on with it though. Joe seemed to like it and said he is going to buy it on DVD. He is back on SL on some Hybrid Hunt. We can use our new SL client to type in the name of an object and find it in a shop so the hunts will be a ton easier cheating on them like that. I will take Natalie on the hunt tomorrow maybe or next week and get tons of loot. Anyway I may pop on SL to clear out my messages and stuff and chat will Joe a bit more then off to bed. Hello World! It is Tuesday and about Noon EDT. I have been up since 10:45AM or so but have been busy editing config files and stuff. I take it around 3AM my IP changed for the first time in six months or so. I am glad it doesn’t change that often because it is sorta a pain and I have to change about ten config files to represent the new IP change as well as change my DNS and stuff. Anyway all of that is done I think and all services are back to normal for another six months until it changes again. I already had my coffee while I was doing that but for some reason want a second cup so I am awaiting my water to boil now. I figured since I was changing config files I would recompile my Open Simulator regions on both OSGrid and my own grid as well as my UGAIM (User, Grid, Asset, Inventory, Messaging) servers. That went well but I cannot connect to OSGrid because they are in the process of updating their UGAIM and my region server is a few versions ahead of them so I have to wait for them to catchup. Joe is working this morning and I think until 1PM his time or 3PM my time. I guess I will sip my coffee and do some online job searching both for here in Florida as well as Wyoming. Other then that I might go on Second Life and do some exploring or something. Well I hear my water boiling so I better run. Until later….

Yay! It is 3PM EDT in the afternoon and all is well. Just talking with Joe on the phone now and piddling around on SL. I spent most of the morning and afternoon making sure my systems were up to date and reading websites and stuff like that. For lunch I decided to have Kraft boxed orange powdered mac and cheese which I love and have not had in ages. At the grocery store they had it where you buy three boxes you get the fourth free. I am marinating my pork in some sort of pork marinade now and I guess I should go flip that in a few minutes. Going to grill chops for dinner tonight on the grill I guess. After I logged back into SL this afternoon I decided to stop by Cup of Goodness coffee shop. A long time friend named Elisabeth Beurling has had that coffee shop for ages but just recently re-opened it. I received a tour of the place and stuff and then invited my pal Faith Hilra there and we had coffee and stuff. I guess Faith is finally getting a new laptop which is great. Anyway I am home now with Joe and he is rummaging through his inventory looking for crap so I think I will go play with my pork and get it all happy since I have to grill in a few hours. Beep! Hi! I am back and glad that Elisabeth reopened her coffee shop. I have been to many other coffee shops since the Open Latte closed but have not been happy with any of them. This one feels right and has a certain feel to it that I like. After Joe piddled around with his avatars he finally came and joined me at Cup of Goodness and we were chatting with the patrons before I had to start dinner. As I mentioned earlier I was marinating my pork and I took that out and grilled it and had it with braised cabbage and roasted red potatos with rosemary and stuff. I had my dinner once again out on the lanai and not in front of the computer so I would not be distracted and could enjoy it. After dinner it started thundering kinda loud so I shut down my server machine as well as this one and called Joe on the telephone. We chatted a while and it got windy and rainy but the lightning stopped so I fired everything back up again. It is 7:00PM EDT now and Joe is about to eat dinner and stuff so we hung up and I am messing around viewing websites and such. We are going to watch a movie a little later so it should be a fine end to the evening. Well back with more later….

….well hello! I almost forgot I had a blog and had to update it and stuff! It seem it is 12:15AM EDT and it has been a fine day today. I fiddled around with stuff on the computer while Joe was having dinner and watched TV for a little bit and stuff until it was movie time. Come time for the movie I made some popcorn and fired up the encoder and stuff and Joe and I settled in to watch Madea Goes To Jail. That movie I must say was funny as shit. I guess there were some slow parts but the funny parts were very funny. It is worth seeing I would say. After the movie we talked on the phone some more and stuff until about 11:45PM and then Joe wanted to go nini so we said our goodbyes for the day. I am just browsing websites and talking on IRC right now before bed. I think I will make a snack and go nini too. Goodnight Earth!

Yaaaaay! It’s Monday at 10:00AM EDT and I am on the phone with mah sweetie pie! I have been up for about thirty minutes and have been having my coffee at some region named Error on Second Life and my RL coffee. With this new Emerald SL Viewer, on the login screen photos you can click to teleport to what is in the photo which is cool. I always thought with the regular SL viewer you should be able to go to the places in the photos or they should at least tell you what the places are. Anyway Joe has called rather early and I guess they sent him home from work a little early. He is coloring on the kiddie computers now at work awaiting his ride and we usually talk and stuff on the phone. I think I will start my day off with a nice hot shower and after that maybe check on the status of the HyperGrid teleports with OSGrid. From there who knows where the day will go. Anyway I guess I will talk to Joe a bit more and then get started. Until later….

Smile. Hi. It is 1:00PM EDT and I am happy and content. Joe got home from work early and we met up on Second Life while I was doing some exploring. We seen this lady at one of the places that appeared to be AFK but had a broom and some sort of witch AO that amused Joe. After further investigation Joe figured out where to obtain the broom and AO and bookmarked it for further reference. I managed to have egg salad sandwiches for lunch this afternoon and it appears it might storm in RL. I hope it isn’t as bad as yesterday because I hate having to shut down the computers. I just noticed when I was uploading the last photo that there are people in almost every photo I take. I look at this photo for instance and I could have really taken it without me in the photo. I think from now on I will take more photos without people in them. Anyway I guess I will get back to our exploration and afternoon adventure. We are messing around with client settings again and stuff so I thought I would update. More to come….

….well hiya! It is 11:00PM EDT and I am all happy and smiley. Been having a swell evening with Joe and stuff. Well afternoon/evening. After the last post we were doing a little more exploring around SL and went to some French island where there is a huge castle with lots of stairs and rocks and stuff. It smelled like mold and piss and cotton candy. After that it was time for me to cook dinner so I logged off and make fresh white clam sauce for my pasta and cooked pasta and had that for dinner. I actually ate my dinner on the lanai today rather then in front of the computer. Often I feel obligated to talk to people when I eat at the computer and I like to just sit and enjoy my meal without being bothered. After dinner we talked on the phone a bit and then Joe had to go pick up his sister or something so I decided to watch a movie. I watched Delicatessen which is a French black comedy film, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro, starring Dominique Pinon and Karin Viard. It is set in a post-apocalyptic apartment building in a France of an ambiguous time period. It was weird and French. Bout all I can say about it. After that I prepared RL popcorn and Joe and I got back on the telephone and we decided to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I have seen a few of the Harry Potter movies and this was one of Joe’s picks for tonight so we enjoyed that. I as usual during Harry Potter flicks didn’t have a clue what was going on but enjoyed it anyway. We discussed our “Magic Wand’s” and things like that during the movie and it was a good laugh. I am just taking time now to finish the blog for the day and going to grab a snack and talk to Joe a bit more before bed. Thats about it I guess. Goodnight World!

Good Morning! It is 11:00AM EDT on Wednesday and I am having a sit at my friend Faith’s high prim table she loves so much and having my coffee in RL. Speaking of her I seen her on Yahoo but I must have just missed her. Not sure what I will do today yet but I do know I signed up for Yahoo Voice about a month ago and finally received an invitation to help beta test it. I got my phone number last night and played a tiny bit and it seemed cool and I will play some more in a bit. Joe is off today from work so I am sure we will do something today as well. Oh I forgot to mention he sent me photos of his tickets to come here to visit. I guess he bought them yesterday and stuff. He still needs to get my tickets I guess to come back with him but we still have about 3 months until all of this occurs so hopefully I will be working by then and can buy my own. Anyway I am going to play with the yahoo voice now and then shower. I just came up with a thought that maybe I can connect Yahoo Voice to my asterisk server. Anyway back later….

w00t! Hi. It is 2:30PM EDT and all is well. I spent the morning playing around with that Google Voice and stuff. I managed to already have a Gizmo5 account so when people call my Google Voice phone number it rings my home telephone as well as my Gizmo5 phone on the computer. Guess that saves me from setting up an Asterisk server although I could if I wanted to be geeky. After that I gave Joe a call and he sounded half asleep. I think that was about two hours or so and I just tried calling again and he doesn’t answer so I guess he is probably still sleeping. I don’t know why he gets up early most of the time but when he has to get up very early the next day for work he sleeps all day so he ends up being up all night. Shrugs. Anyway I guess we will hang out later then. I was just on Second Life talking to my pal Faith Hilra at her house as well as my friend Daizie Alsop in IM. Faith is home from New York and getting ready for her move or something. Didn’t get to ask Daizie much because my video driver crashed so I had to reboot the computer. Anyway I am just sitting here now twiddling my thumbs and doing laundry. All freshly showered and had a coffee and have nothing to do. Guess I will wait for Joe. Back later….

Yay! It is 9PM EDT and Joe is off to the store to get something to eat so I thought it would be a good time to post something. Been having a relaxing evening and Joe logged in as well as I shortly after the last post. We got changed and stuff for the day and headed down to visit with Faithy. Joe and I have not had a boogaloo with Faith for about a week so we danced and stuff and he played some tunes and we talked for a while. After that Joe wanted to watch that movie Coraline that we attempted watching last night. We logged off of SL and I fired up the encoder and stuff and we watched that. Was good to be able to watch it in full screen versus a tiny window and chat on the phone during it. I kinda like to lay down watching movies and not sit at a computer. Anyway that movie was weird and if you do acid I would imagine it would be interesting to pop some of that and watch the movie. Anyway as I said Joe is getting something to eat at the store and I think I will login to SL and wait for him to return. Back before bed….

Phew! Been a long day today! Anyway it is 11:00PM EDT and we have just been winding down our evening. After logging back in I seen my pal Formatting Holosense was DJ’ing somewhere so I tp’ed there and awaited Joe to return. The place filled up rather quickly and then Joe finally arrived back and we had a boogaloo and a voice chat for a bit. I chatted with some of the people I knew that were there for about an hour or two and then it started winding down so Joe and I decided to head home. We are just chilling floating on our floating things in the river and chatting every so often. It’s just nice to know he is there. I’m laughing about what we are talking about now that I won’t mention lol. Anyway I am all smiley and I guess we will wind down the evening because Joe has to go to work tomorrow and I don’t want to sleep until 11AM again. Goodnight World!
