The Lost Pixel

Good Morning! It is 5:15AM MST and I am sorta awake and having my coffee and stuff. It is nice to be able to login to Second Life as I do every morning and sit at home and listen to music as well. In SL I am having a catnip tea on the front porch of the house I cannot afford this week. I think I have 4 days rent left on it since I was supposed to pay last week but had to pay for RL apartment. I also canceled my World of Warcraft account because that was due Friday but I will get that again eventually. My pal Faithy offered to loan me the money for my rent a week ago but I thought I was going to need two weeks but I realized one week will get me from this Friday till next Friday when I get paid. I would hate to lose my house on Second Life. Feels pointless going on SL when you have no home. Anyway Joe is sleeping still and probably will be for a while I would imagine since he has had the whole week off so far. He works Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. His mother is supposed to come pick him up on the weekends but every time she has said that before she never showed up. I really hope she doesn’t screw this up for us because he can take the CATC bus to work on the weekend. That bus is not the normal bus but one that runs on the weekend and is on call. You call a week ahead of time and they pick you up from the house and drop you off at your destination for 5USD. So it would be 10USD for him to go to work and back. I don’t work on the weekend so I can take the regular bus to work and see how this works out with that lady taking me home. If worse comes to worse I can take the bus home as well if I need to. Well in the morning now I usually have my coffee and then smoke and then make my lunch and shower and then head to the bus stop. I get to work an hour early so I have my breakfast and watch the news. Anyway I am going to go smoke and make lunch and then head to work because I have to be at the bus stop in an hour. Back after work….

Hiya! It is 5:20PM MST and I am home from work. Today I got to work early as usual and had my breakfast and while doing so I wrote a menu for next week. I figure we can have Chicken Tacos & Spanish Rice, Pasta & Garlic Bread, Pork Chops & Spinach & Mashed Potato, Frozen Pizza, Fish Fillets & Broccoli & Mac and Cheese, Chili and Reuben Sandwiches. That will be 7 days worth of meals and I will prepare a shopping list with it organized isle by isle so we can shop quickly and catch the bus home Friday. Work was typical except for all the crazies calling at the start of the day. It was a pretty nice day today and actually above freezing. I got a ride home from the lady from work and as you can see in the photo it is our kitchen. I am preparing to cook a pork loin roast and peas and carrots and mac and cheese. That should be tasty but might be hard to cut with a butter knife. Friday we should get a pack of steak knives or something I guess. Joe is here playing on Second Life like he has been all day and I guess thrilled that we have internet. Anyway I gotta go check on dinner now and might login to Second Life myself. Back in a bit….

….yo! It is 9:30PM MST and I am sleepy. Dinner was delicious and after dinner I played a bit on Second Life and then browsed the web. After that Joe and I decided to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. That movie was amusing and I enjoyed it and stuff. Anyway time for the last smoke and to get ready for bed. Good Morning! It is 7:30AM MST on Wednesday and I am awake and having my coffee and excited. I hope I am not excited for no reason and I keep waiting in anticipation for the call from that guy and hope it is today. As you can see the snow has started and looks like it started in the wee hours of the morning considering there isn’t all too much on the ground yet. It is a lovely 1F/-17C outside and we are supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow today. I forgot to open the heating vent last night so I had cold ears when I woke up but it wasn’t too bad. I took Penut out to piddle and was sorta sad because it will be just a few more days I think that I get to do that. Joe was quiet last night and sad because he feels he is doing something wrong taking Penut to the dog pound since Penut was a good boy and didn’t do anything wrong. I explained to Joe that you have to make hard decisions in your life sometimes and we certainly cannot afford to rent a house to keep Penut. There are no apartments that will allow you to have dogs so we do have to get rid of him if we are moving. I didn’t want to sound like a dick but no matter what I am moving to that apartment. Here are some photos of the apartment and as you can see it is pretty nice for that price. I have seen much shittier apartments in my life and that one will be great. I figure for the faux leather sofa we can get a throw cover and some blankeys and some pillows for it and make that comfy. Maybe we can get some oriental rugs or throw rugs to put on the wood floors and stuff too. I priced cable and internet last night and it was 74.99 for Digital Plus which is regular cable with Starz and Encore. We don’t need all the premium channels because if we want movies we can get them off Netflix or the internet. That price included internet as well. I figure we can buy a TV for the bedroom and then in the living room I will put my desk and computer and we can get a HD cable box and connect that to the computer screen and have high definition in the living room. I will get a surround sound thing and we will be good to go with our living room TV. I look at the photos of the kitchen and imagine myself being able to cook in a clean kitchen instead of one with dishes everywhere and various other filth laying around. Will be nice to cook without 5 dogs trying to bother you as well. I am getting myself hyped up and who knows how many other people applied for that apartment. I told the guy if he gets get background check done quickly I will pay the 1100 dollars Thursday if he wants or Friday and Joe said his eyes lit up so maybe there were not too many other people. I just checked my paycheck as well and it seems I got paid for Christmas even though I took off Christmas Eve. That is good. Maybe it is because I put a vacation day before Christmas. They took my health insurance out and other things but it was prorated for one day which was January 1’st so I didn’t take too much of a bite. I am going to have to cancel my World of Warcraft account because that bills on Friday and I need as much money as I can for groceries for one week. I wanted to wait until last minute in case this apartment falls through but what if the guy calls on Friday or something. Anyway I am going to do that now and finish my coffee and start preparing for work. I will ride with Joe today and walk in the snowy weather from the mall to work. I have to get used to that anyway because I will be taking the bus to and from work. Well until later then….

….well hi! It’s 8:30PM MST and I am home and stuff. Work went well today and was typical and nothing major of interest there to mention. The walk to work kinda sucked because there was snow everywhere and it hurts my eyes and I get confused where the sidewalk and the road are. It stopped snowing around lunchtime and didn’t snow all too much and it is very cold now -23F/-33C with a wind chill of -33F/-36C. I called that guy from the apartments this afternoon on my last break at 4:45PM and the cell phone connection was shitty so he said to call him back in an hour. I used a landline and called him at 5:45 and I guess he got the background stuff back. All he mentioned to me was there were a few things he wanted to go over with me on there and they wouldn’t necessarily keep me from moving in there. One thing he mentioned was due to Florida law he was unable to see parts of my credit report. Anyway he also said he didn’t bother doing the background check on Joe because he was only 21 and the credit report and stuff wouldn’t show much so he just did mine which cost him 50.00 to run or something. Anyway he said he couldn’t talk to me tonight but for me to come by tomorrow night between 7:30 and 7:45PM. I will go there tomorrow after I get dropped off after work and Joe and I will walk down there. I took 1/2 a vacation day off on Friday in anticipation of going to pay for this apartment. I still need the Western Union from my parents and I will be good to go. Anyway I hate all this waiting and I really would like to know if I can pay and move in or not. I guess Joe talked to his uncle about us moving today and the shelter they will take Penut to will not kill him. Anyway after arriving home Joe and I cooked dinner and made meat sauce and whole grain pasta and in the oven make some sort of garlic rolls. The dinner was delicious and I look forward to more good dinners. Anyway I am not sure what I am going to do now but it will probably involve TV or browsing websites until bed. That’s it for today! Good Morning! It is Wednesday already and 7:30AM MST and I am up and stuff and having my RL coffee and a wave on the front porch on Second Life. I woke up this morning as usual freezing my ass off because the damn window has that plexi glass taped to it still and it is drafty and cold. I really need to get that fixed next paycheck because it sucks for it to be warm in the rest of the house and so cold in here you do not want to get out of bed. I figured out why Penut keeps wanting to jump in the bed as well. Once I got up I checked his ears to see if he was cold in his new bed placement and his ears were freezing. It must be cold in the corner he is in and he wants to get up where it is warm. I have to see about getting a little space heater like my friend has in Florida. That little heater seemed safe and worked well and would make the room very warm. Anyway I feel much better today although I did toss and turn last night again because of the cold in the room. Joe is still sleeping and on his side of the bed too. I thought that was stupid for us to not get a good night sleep because he switched the sides of the bed we sleep on when he changed the room around. For three nights I couldn’t sleep right and neither could he. Anyway I get to go back to work today but my supervisor isn’t there until Sunday so I shouldn’t get in trouble for taking days off until next week. Hopefully I don’t get in trouble and it just blows over and I can wait until March for my vacation and stuff. I think I will take my Christmas stuff down in Second Life tonight after I get home from work. I usually leave it up until after Jan 1st but I am tired of not having the prims. Well my coffee is finished and it is time for me to go have a smoke. After that I must make my lunch and then my oatmeal and then shower. Back after work….

….hello! It is 7:44PM and I am home from work and eating. I found a microwave dinner that had spinach and cheese stuffed chicken and a baked potato in it. Also I cooked up some of my greens and there are green beans in the dinner and stuff. Joe says he is not hungry and will eat something later so I figure he is having a bowl of pudding or a pie for dinner or the usual. Anyway today at work went okay and the first 45 minutes I took a sexual harassment class and stuff. After that the rest of the day went as usual. They ended up taking another vacation day from me for yesterdays absence which I was worried about. I talked to the HR lady this morning and she said it is fine that I am leaving in March for Florida and that I should have most of the time I need and they would approve the rest of the time as unpaid. I will probably only need one day of unpaid time. After being there a year you are allowed to borrow time so if I was there a year already and January came I could have just borrowed the time. Well Joe is over there doing something on Second Life and I am not really in the mood for the computer tonight. I am still sick and would like to get in my jammies and lay down and watch TV. In fact I think I will do a whole bunch of nothing tonight. Well I guess that is all. That’s it for today! Goodnight Earth!

Yay! Good Morning! It is 7:20AM MST on Wednesday and I got up around 6AM this morning because I couldn’t sleep. Joe’s alarm went off at 6:30AM because he starts work today at 7:30AM. I guess the mall opens early or something. Anyway I went outside and as you can see the snow has started but it hasn’t snowed all too much yet. It is supposed to snow all day and night though and it says we should get about 7 inches which is better then two feet I guess. At least it should be snowy for Christmas. I am sitting in the dark now and should turn a light on and Penut is rolled in a ball on the bed sleeping. I asked Joe’s uncle about a ride to work because I am flat broke until tomorrow so I should be able to get a ride later. I usually leave around 9:45AM when I get a ride to work. I figure it should be fun going out on break because the wind is supposed to pick up as it says here….

….usually everyone at the smoking area stands in one direction because the snow blows sideways and stuff and it looks funny. I think I will pop on Second Life in a few and see what is going on there. I really need to find new places to hang out on there. I really don’t go to one specific place on there anymore so I hang out at home a lot. Also I cannot wait for Christmas to be over so I can take all the Christmas stuff down and actually setup my house the way I want it. All of that stuff uses a lot of prims. I don’t have much food to bring to work today but I do have two granola bars in the desk and some chips and I think I have enough food to make a sandwich for lunch. It will be a bit harder tomorrow and I might not get to eat lunch because I do not have enough lunch meat. I don’t get paid until about 5PM tomorrow so that isn’t doing me much good. It would be swell if I got paid tonight or something because it seems I get paid the day before I am supposed to get paid for some reason. Anyway I am going to go figure out something for breakfast now and make my lunch. After that I will shower and get in snuggly clothes and get ready for work. Back later….

Hi! It is 9AM and I was just out from smoking after my shower and took a photo. I figured I would take a photo again tomorrow and show you the difference heh. Anyway I made my lunch and seem to have enough honey smoked turkey breast for tomorrow which is good. I really did not feel like starving at work. I was talking to my mom this morning quite a bit because I have a phone now with unlimited voice and text and internet. It was a Christmas present from my parents but I had no minutes on my phone last Saturday and I couldn’t call anyone and it sucked. I figured I would open one Christmas present early and that would be the one. I didn’t want to say I opened it but I think my mom figured it out when a new number was calling. The phone is pretty nice and has a camera on it so I can take more RL photos like the one in the toilet yesterday. Maybe I will turn off the shutter sound and when I go to Wal~Mart on Saturday to do grocery shopping I can take photos of people there and upload them to the People of Wal~Mart website which is rather amusing. Anyway I am just waiting for Joe’s uncle to wake up. I hope he isn’t mad taking me to work today but really I do not have the money for the bus and I do not want to ask for money. Anyway going to browse websites now and stuff until it is time to go to work. Back after work….

Well it is Christmas Eve and I never did finish yesterday’s post. Time to finish now. As you can see it was quite the snowy day at work and it just kept snowing and snowing. I couldn’t hide from it although I tried as you can see me hiding behind a dumpster. Work went okay and really wasn’t all too busy considering it was getting close to Christmas. Before my last break I decided I would probably take Christmas Eve off of work because I have not called in for a couple months. I know I will not get paid for the holiday but I do work New Years Day so I get paid double so my check will only be one day less. After work I came home and got the money out of the ATM for the rent and paid that. Joe had to work the next day so I decided I would go out to the bar and stuff. I walked down the street to The Alabi and was following some idiots tracks that kept leading me off of the sidewalk. I listened to music down there and had a couple Crown Royal and 7UP’s and two pitchers of beer. After leaving there I finally found my way home and annoyed Joe a bit and went to bed. I called work about 10:30PM because I did not want to have to get up early in the morning to call. That’s it for today! Goodnight Earth!

Happy Wednesday! It is 7:30AM MST and I am awake and having my morning coffee. I figured rather then a typical photo of me having coffee in Second Life somewhere I would take a photo of Penut the Dog. Penut however seems to be rolled in a ball sleeping and keeps protesting when I try to take his photo. I was going to put a bow on his head so he looks like a Christmas present but I figured he isn’t in the mood. He usually goes out for a poop and a pee and then comes back inside and sleeps for a while. Anyway I am going to probably hop on Second Life in a few after I finish my coffee and see what is up since I played World of Warcraft last night and didn’t go on there. Also I think I will have eggs for breakfast since I am getting sick of oatmeal. I still need to make my lunch too. When I was just out it felt pretty warm and is 33F/1C with a wind chill of 23F/-5C so it is like a heatwave. I wish this ugly ass dirty snow would melt. The shit turns to ice and is ugly and I don’t like looking at it. It says it is supposed to be 44F today which is swell but it is super windy. I have quite a bit of vacation time and seem to get it quickly at work so I was thinking about taking Friday off. If you request a day off 24 hours in advance it should be approved. I of course wouldn’t be able to take next week off because people who have worked there 10 years and stuff get that off. I really doubt a lot of people are taking this week off so a vacation day Friday would be cool. That way I have two 4 day weeks and it would be nice to have a couple three day weekends in a row. My Christmas package from my parents appears to be coming a day early according to the UPS website so it should arrive today. I am going to put the presents in with the rest of my stuff for people and my mom said we can rummage through our stockings and take stuff out of those. Anyway I am off to get ready for work and Joe has to be at work at 8:30AM so I will be taking the bus today. Back later….

Yay! Wednesday is over and I am home from work! It is 8:30PM and I got out of work at the normal time and came home and stuff. Joe’s aunt and uncle were going to some party for a little while and I decided for dinner to have Subway. I had 6.50 left on my gift card so got a 5 dollar footlong BLT sub. I offered to give Joe change and stuff so he could get a 5 dollar sub too but he spent his two dollars on a huge soda. Anyway dinner was nummy and before I walked to Subway I took the box of loot my parents sent me for Christmas and we opened out stockings. The other presents are still in the box and I will bring them out Christmas. Out stockings said Joe and Kevin and had candy and other goodies in them. My mom said we could open those before Christmas. Work was especially shitty today because the Maxperks statements came out early before the 20th so most of my calls were clueless assholes locked out of their Maxperks account. Basically you just do a ton of password resets for grandmas and it takes about 45 minutes to explain to them how to setup a password. I would say one out of ten calls was actually something like an order or finding a lost package or something like that. Anyway those calls seem to only last 3-4 days after statement time so I can’t wait until this week is over. I asked for Friday off because I wanted a three day weekend but they said unless I had a doctors appointment or something I couldn’t have it off. I think Joe is building a bed on Second Life now and I am in my jammies and about to get on World of Warcraft and try to level up to level 12 and do another quest.
